Controlling PowerPoint from Windows Phone

I’ve always liked the Presenter View in PowerPoint but it can be a bit tricky to get it set up. The benefits are worth it if you can get it to work, though.

So I was intrigued to find about an add-on for Windows Mobile 6.5 that allows you to control PowerPoint from your Windows phone. Not only can you control the presentation, you can also view the speaker notes on your phone at the same time. That sounds as if it might take away the problems of setting up Presenter View!

On the computer, you’ll need Windows XP Service Pack 2 or newer, Bluetooth, PowerPoint 2010 [Beta] or PowerPoint 2007.

On the phone, you’ll need Windows Mobile 6.5, Bluetooth, Microsoft Office Mobile 2010 [Beta] and Presentation Companion 1.0 [Beta].
