Tech-Ed 2006: Building an Internet-Facing Web Site Using Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007

When SP2003 came out, it was really an Intranet product. It was pretty difficult to get it to work as an Internet web site.
That has all changed. The merging of Content Management Server into MOSS means that not only have you got the richness of the webparts that we’ve come to know & love, but you’ve now got approval processes, page design enforcement, publishing workflow, etc, etc.
This session looked at the some of the features and showed how you can use MOSS to create a site that looks pretty darn close to the Vista product site! That is impressive for a product that used to be almost entirely constrained by the zones on the page.
